The Sparkling Red Velvet Cupcake is now available for $55,000.

While some luxe desserts call for edible gold leaf, white truffles or another expensive ingredient that restaurants use to create astronomically priced food items, Cupcakes Gourmet merely sticks an 8 carat engagement ring from Warwick Jewelers in the frosting.
